Dear Allion Families,

As the proud and honoured principal of Allion Elementary, I am pleased to be working with you all for a second beautiful year ahead. I hope that you all had a restful summer and are staying safe during these uncertain times

Thank you to all our Allion staff and families for uniting and collaborating as we adapted to new realities during the pandemic time. Together we are better!

I would like to reassure all our families that we will do our utmost to ensure the safety and security of all our students and staff. Another year is on its way with many adventures ahead and we look forward to instilling a passion for learning in our students through nurturing and challenging the students socially, emotionally and academically.

As a STEAM (Science, technology, engineering, art and math) school we look forward to the amazing projects and explorations this year throughout all the grade levels.

New this year at Allion we are delighted to welcome two K4 classes and students will be thrilled to see their new playground.

I am very pleased to announce that we have completed the first phase of our playground project. We have added some beautiful markings with various games, basketball nets, ballon-poire, and a play-structure for our K4 and K5 yard. We are excited for the students to be able to enjoy it in the days ahead. I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who supported this initiative. This would not have been possible without your generous donations and collaboration.

I am also pleased that we were able to add Italian classes at Allion for students who are interested in learning a third language after school. We had many student-led green initiatives that were implemented such as composting, zero waste lunch days, etc.

Celebration of Black History was another great event. We look forward to this annual tradition at Allion.

We have also brought to life, thanks to Iris King, another project where inspirational quotes were painted on our bathroom stalls to boost the confidence of our wonderful Allion Students.

The school is looking so clean and beautiful and I would like to thank our caretakers for their long hours of hard work. A big thank you as well to Ms. Dorothy, our amazing admin assistant, for ensuring a smooth start-up and being the ray of sunshine that she is daily. To all our dynamic and experienced Allion staff, thank you for all the love, dedication and passion and your hard work in ensuring the classes are ready for our students.

To all our new and returning families, I would like to thank you for entrusting us with your children and I feel very privileged to be part of this community that cultivates kindness and respect.

We look forward to collaborating with you all and seeing your children grow. Here’s to another great year!

Warm regards,

Josie D'Adamo
Proud Principal of Allion
